Aim: To determine the dominant predictive factors of postoperative visual recovery for patients with pituitary adenoma.

Methods: PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science and Cochrane Library were searched for relevant human studies, which investigated the prediction of the postoperative visual recovery of patients with pituitary adenoma, from January 2000 to May 2017. Meta-analyses were performed on the primary outcomes.

NF-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is a pivotal transcription factor of cellular responses to oxidative stress and recent evidence suggests that Nrf2 plays an important role in cancer pathobiology. However, the underlying mechanism has yet to be elucidated, particularly in glioma. In the present study, we investigated the role of Nrf2 in the clinical prognosis, cell proliferation and tumor growth of human glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).

Analysis of the activation of the Nrf2-ARE pathway following optic nerve injury in mice.

Purpose: The Nrf2-ARE pathway plays a cytoprotective role in many tissues,but its protective function in the optic nerve is unclear. The purpose of the study is to investigate the changes in activation of the Nrf2-ARE pathway following optic nerve injury (ONI) in mice.

Methods: Using ONI mice models, the expression levels of Nrf2 in optic nerves were determined by real-time PCR at various time points.
