Article Synopsis
  • This study aimed to explore how endoscopes can effectively visualize neural and vascular structures in the cerebellopontine angle (CPA) region through a minimally invasive approach using a specified anatomical point in the retrosigmoid area.
  • The research involved a surgical simulation on 10 fresh cadaver heads, where a small craniotomy was created to test an innovative endoscope cannula alongside different angled endoscopes for capturing detailed views of the CPA.
  • Results showed that with the endoscope cannula, surgeons could effectively use both hands during the procedure, enhancing their maneuverability and potentially leading to better outcomes in minimally invasive endoscopic surgery.
