This research work proposes a Distributed Blockchain-Assisted Secure Data Aggregation (Block-DSD) technique for MANETs, ensuring high security and energy efficiency in disaster management scenarios. A Zone-based Clustering Approach (ZCA) is employed to segment the network into secure zones, with optimal Cluster Heads (CHs) selected using the Artificial Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). Data aggregation is secured through a Two-Step Secure (STS) method and Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), while optimal routing is achieved using the Improved Elephant Herd Optimization (IEHO) algorithm.

Hydroxyapatite (HAP) is a well-known medically renowned bioactive material known for its excellent biocompatibility and mechanical stability, but it lacks fast bioactivity. The restricted release of ions from hydroxyapatite encourages the search for a faster bioactive material that could replicate other properties of HAP. A new sol-gel-mediated potentially bioactive glass material that could mimic the structure of HAP but can surpass the performance of HAP bioactively has been formulated in this study.

Lymphedema is localized swelling due to lymphatic system dysfunction, often affecting arms and legs due to fluid accumulation. It occurs in 20% to 94% of patients within 2-5 years after breast cancer treatment, with around 20% of women developing breast cancer-related lymphedema. This condition involves the accumulation of protein-rich fluid in interstitial spaces, leading to symptoms like swelling, pain, and reduced mobility that significantly impact quality of life.

Among the wet chemical nanoparticle fabrication techniques, the sol-gel process happens through hydrolysis and subsequent polycondensation reactions. The bioactive glass known as the 45S5 SiO-NaO-CaO-PO quaternary system has intricate chemistry, yet its advantages benefit the biomedical field on an enormous scale. The order in which the ethanol and TEOS inclusions are exchanged was investigated in this work because it has a direct impact on the early hydrolysis process.

The study aims to design and fabricate an ultra-easier multi-functional biomedical polymeric scaffold loaded with unique equimolar Ca:P phasic bioactive glass material (BG). Gelatin (G) - 45S5 bioactive glass (BG) scaffolds were synthesized via a simple laboratory refrigerator with higher biocompatibility and cytocompatibility. The results proved that BG has enhanced bio-mineralization of the scaffolds and results support that the G: BG (1:2) ratio is the more appropriate composition.

Currently, the risks posed by bacteria are becoming increasingly important. It now appears that the cell wall of Anammox image bacteria is very different from what has been generally considered for many years. Not every textbook contains the peptidoglycan on the cell wall of Anammox image bacteria - the sugar-protein chain that strengthens the cells of most bacteria.

Designing a biomaterial with excellent bioactivity, biocompatibility, mechanical strength, porosity, and osteogenic properties is essential to incorporate therapeutic agents in order to promote efficient bone regeneration. The work intended to prepare bioactive glass with tailor-made equal Ca/P (CP) ratio to obtain clinophosinaite (Cpt) as dominant phase. Clinophosinaite (Na CaPSiO ) is one of the rarest phases of bioactive glass (BG), which is supposed to play key role in bioactivity.

The 45S5 bioglass uttering Class A bioactivity promotes both osteoconduction as well as osteoinduction. Though one of the higher reactive bioactive materials known with structural and physiological influence upon ionic modulation, poor mechanical properties are perceived. The possible solution to overcome the weak stability is to choose material's composition that provides retained bioactivity and improved mechanical stability.

Thromboses of the upper extremity and neck are rare and not as commonly seen as lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Internal jugular vein thrombosis (IJVT) is a serious condition with a potentially fatal outcome. Jugular vein thrombosis refers to the formation of intraluminal thrombi anywhere from the intracranial part of the jugular vein to the junction between the internal jugular vein (IJV) and subclavian vein.

Named Entity Recognition is the process of identifying different entities in a given context. Biomedical Named Entity Recognition (BNER) is the task of extracting chemical names from biomedical texts to support biomedical and translational research. The aim of the system is to extract useful chemical names from biomedical literature text without a lot of handcrafted engineering features.

Emotion analysis has been attracting researchers' attention. Most previous works in the artificial-intelligence field focus on recognizing emotion rather than mining the reason why emotions are not or wrongly recognized. The correlation among emotions contributes to the failure of emotion recognition.

A simple and direct gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for routine estimation of C2 H5-alkylbenzenes (or C2-alkylbenzenes), namely, ethylbenzene and m/p- and o-xylenes in the boiling range of 80°C-400°C, including diesel range streams using deuterated ethylbenzene as internal standard has been described. Estimation of C2-alkylbenzenes in feeds and products is important for monitoring the reaction kinetics in certain secondary processes which involve conversion of low value, aromatic-rich diesel range boiling streams to produce aromatic-based petrochemical feedstocks upto xylenes. The method developed takes advantage of chromatographic separation and resolution masses of fragment ions of the compounds of interest for estimation.

Automatic annotation of images is considered to be an important research problem in image retrieval. Traditional methods are computationally complex and fail to annotate correctly when the number of image classes is large and related. This paper proposes a novel approach, an autoencoder hashing, to categorize images of large-scale image classes.

Bio-oil obtained from pyrolysis is highly complicated mixture with valued chemicals. In order to reduce the complexity for unambiguous characterization of components present in bio-oil, solvent extractions using different solvents with increasing polarity have been adopted. The fractions have been analyzed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy for identifying the functional groups and Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), for detailed characterization of components present in various fractions, thereby providing in-depth information at molecular level of various components in bio-oil.

Article Synopsis
  • Simulation studies in outpatient clinics face challenges in collecting large volumes of detailed patient flow data.
  • We propose using sensor networks to effectively gather this data and introduce a framework for preparing it for analysis.
  • The framework particularly focuses on creating patient path strings, and we provide examples of data analysis from two major outpatient clinics in the U.S.
