Intraductal papillary neoplasms of the bile duct are rare tumors with fibrovascular stalks arising from the bile duct. It is often difficult to diagnose preoperatively, especially from mucinous cystic neoplasms. The incidence is more common in Asian countries and rare in Western countries.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground The incidence of gastric stump carcinoma (GSC) is not declining because of the long latency period. The survival rate of treated gastric cancer patients has increased due to early detection and improvements in surgical techniques and chemotherapy. Increased survival rates and improved surveillance following gastric surgery have increased the incidence of GSC.

They are usually discovered incidentally, and diagnostic pitfalls are frequent owing to similar imaging characteristics to other liver neoplasms. We present a patient whose evaluation was consistent with a right-sided hepatocellular carcinoma for which right hepatectomy was performed.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLong-term complications following pancreaticoduodenectomy are rarely reported because of the poor long-term survival of these patients. Marginal ulcers can occur in both the short and long term, and they can become complicated by bleeding or perforation. Marginal ulcer with perforation is a rare incidence and only sparse literature evidence is available.

Most of these are asymptomatic and are detected incidentally, but can present with a variety of clinical manifestations like pancreatitis, duodenal obstruction, biliary obstruction, and rarely malignancy. Here in our study, we describe various congenital anomalies of the pancreas associated with various clinical manifestations, its management strategies, and outcomes.

This study aims to analyse the case presentations of HL in a tertiary care centre in South India and define the role of hepatic resection in these cases and their outcomes.
Methods: Retrospective data of all patients operated on for HL from 2012 to 2021 were analysed with regard to clinical parameters, biochemical parameters, and different types of surgical management.
Aim: To evaluate the role of preoperative magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) in detection of common bile duct stone (CBDS) in cases of gall stone disease (GSD).
Methods: This is a retrospective study with a prospectively maintained database, carried out in 116 patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) for GSD, from October 2017 to September 2020. Preoperative MRCP was performed in all cases.
