Background: Intrathecal baclofen therapy can substantially improve symptoms in patients with severe spasticity owing to traumatic spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral paresis, or tethered cord syndrome. Problems associated with intrathecal catheters include migration, laceration, occlusion, or disconnection. Several case reports have described the management of catheter fragments.

Here we present CAPITAL (comparative analysis of pseudotime trajectory inference with tree alignment), a method for comparing single-cell trajectories with tree alignment whereby branching trajectories can be automatically compared. Computational tests on synthetic datasets and authentic bone marrow cells datasets indicate that CAPITAL has achieved accurate and robust alignments of trajectory trees, revealing various gene expression dynamics including gene-gene correlation conservation between different species.

In this study, by using a shuttle vector and non-SOS-induced with short-read next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology, we present an advanced method for the study of mutations, which is simple, versatile, and cost-effective. We demonstrate the performance of our newly developed assay via pilot experiments with ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, the results from which emerge more relevant than expected.

We present a case of successful endovascular therapy for left persistent sciatic artery that was occluded at the distal site. The angioplasty was performed with both antegrade approach from contralateral common femoral artery and retrograde approach from ipsilateral superficial femoral artery.
