This study aims to evaluate the clinical and radiological features, histopathological characteristics, treatment modalities, and their effectiveness, as well as long-term follow-up results of pediatric spinal ependymomas treated at a single institution. In this retrospective study, medical records of 14 pediatric patients (3 females and 11 males) who were surgically treated for spinal ependymoma in our institution between 1995 and 2020 were reviewed. Data regarding age, gender, presenting symptoms and signs, radiological findings, postoperative status, extent of resection, histopathological grading, recurrence, tumor growth, seeding, and adjuvant treatment were collected and analyzed.

This innovative approach was initially viewed as experimental and was reserved for highly selected patients with unusual anatomic variants. In 2016, increasing numbers of procedures began to be performed, and in several centers, it is now offered as a standard of care option alongside surgical repair.

Methods: Our retrospective study analyzed infants who underwent gross total or subtotal resection (STR) for CBTs between 2001 and 2019. Data were obtained from medical records, including demographics, clinical presentation, diagnosis, tumor characteristics, and presence of hydrocephalus.
Introduction: We aimed to demonstrate the sensitivity of frozen section for patients with adult granulosa cell tumor (AGCT) and analyze the clinico-pathological factors that may be associated with sensitivity.
Material Methods: This is a multicenter study including data of 10 Gynecological Oncology Departments. Frozen-section results of patients who had ovarian AGCT at the final pathology report were retrospectively analyzed.
Purpose: Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is a common pregnancy complication that can be associated with several adverse perinatal outcomes. One of these negative outcomes is ductus arteriosus, especially in preterm babies. In this study, intrauterine heart function and ductus diameter were evaluated in babies with FGR.

Objective: Acute pancreatitis is a rare disease in pregnant patients. Although it may have serious maternal and fetal consequences, morbidity and mortality rates have decreased recently due to appropriate and rapid treatment with earlier diagnosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate pregnant patients diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.

An analytical methodology has been developed for trace amounts of Fingolimod (FIN) and Citalopram (CIT) drug molecules based on magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) and high performance liquid chromatographic determination with photodiode array detector (HPLC-DAD). Fingolimod is used in treatment of Multiple sclerosis (MS) disease and sometimes antidepressant drugs such as citalopram accompany to treatment. Both simultaneous analysis of these molecules and application of MSPE with a new adsorbent has been performed for first times.

Objective: The main feature of adult granulosa cell tumors (AGCT) is their capacity to secrete hormones, with nearly all of them capable of synthesizing oestradiol. The primary goal of this study is to identify synchronized endometrial pathologies, particularly endometrial cancer, in AGCT patients who had undergone a hysterectomy.
Materials And Methods: The study cohort comprised retrospectively of 316 AGCT patients from 10 tertiary gynecological oncology centers.
Objective: To define the clinical, histopathological features and the prognostic factors affecting survival in patients with adult granulosa cell tumors of the ovary (AGCT).
Methods: A 322 patients whose final pathologic outcome was AGCT treated at nine tertiary oncology centers between 1988 and 2021 participated in the study.
Results: The mean age of the patients was 51.
Objective: The purpose of the present research is to evaluate the salivary levels of leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein (LRG) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in periodontal health and disease (gingivitis and stage III periodontitis) and also to compare the discriminative efficiencies of both biomarkers in periodontal disease.
Background: LRG is a new acute-phase protein whose functions are still being investigated. LRG and CRP are both biomarkers that are increased by inflammation.
Introduction: Device closure of perimembranous ventricular septal defects (pmVSD) is a successful off-label treatment alternative. We aim to report and compare the outcomes of pmVSD closure in children weighing less than 10 kg using Amplatzer Duct Occluder II (ADOII) and Konar-MF VSD Occluder (MFO) devices.
Methods: Retrospective clinical data review of 52 children with hemodynamically significant pmVSD, and sent for transcatheter closure using ADOII and MFO, between January 2018 and January 2023.
Biological variation (BV) plays a crucial role in determining analytical performance specifications, assessing serial measurements of individuals, and establishing the use of population-based reference intervals. Our study aimed to calculate the BV and BV-based quality goals of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OH D), ferritin, folate and vitamin B12 tests. We included a total of 22 apparently healthy volunteers (9 women and 13 men) aged 18-55 years in the study that we conducted in Turkey.

The aim of this study was to investigate the degradation of aclidinium bromide under stress and stability testing conditions, for which we developed and validated the first stability-indicating, specific, precise, accurate, and robust assay and related substances HPLC methods. Nine of the compounds used as reference standards were synthesized and fully characterized by H and C NMR, MS, and FTIR techniques.

Detection in beverage residues gains importance, since some of them can be quickly eliminated from the body, till the victim understands what he/she has experienced, goes to the hospital and gives a urine sample for analysis. Here, date-rape drugs; ketamine, thiopental, phenobarbital, zolpidem, phenytoin and zopiclone were analyzed simultaneously in 1.

Objectives: To examine whether two performance-based task tests are a reliable and valid measurement test to assess balance in patients with early and advanced knee osteoarthritis (KO).
Design: Reliability and concurrent validity research.
Introduction: Peripheral perfusion index has been proposed as a possible method for detecting circulatory impairment. We aimed to determine the normal range of peripheral perfusion index in healthy newborns and compare it with that of newborns with CHD.
Methods: Right-hand saturation and right-hand peripheral perfusion index levels were recorded, and physical examination and echocardiography were performed in newborns who were 0-28 days old and whom were evaluated in our paediatric cardiology outpatient clinic.
In this multi-centre study, the mid- to long-term efficacy and safety of the Amplatzer Piccolo Occluder in patent ductus arteriosus closure in premature and term infants as well as children were discussed. Methods. Between 2016 and 2021, 645 patients, 152 of whom were less than 1 month old, underwent ductus closure with the Piccolo device from five different centres in Turkey.

In this study, we aimed to retrospectively evaluate the safety and efficacy of the device in the mid-term in children weighing less than 10 kg whose transcatheter VSD was closed only with the Konar-MFO device.
Patients And Methods: Among 70 children whose transcatheter VSD was closed between January 2018 and January 2023, 23 patients weighing less than 10 kg were included in the study.
Background: We aim to show pelvic lymphocele (PL) rates in patients who were operated for endometrial cancer (EC) and underwent systematic paraaortic bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection (PABPLND) with advanced bipolar vessel sealing device (ABVSD).
Methods: The medical files of all patients who underwent open surgery for EC between January 2017 and December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. One hundred three patients who operated with the diagnosis of high-intermediate and high-risk endometrial cancer were included.

Background: The significant advances in the materials and biological aspects of dental implants haven't completely eradicated the implant failures. The removal of osseointegrated but otherwise failed implants present several challenges including adjacent tissues damage and necessity of bone augmentation for reimplantation. Controlled thermal necrosis has emerged as an alternative technique to aid removal of osseointegrated dental implants with minimal to no defect to healthy bone or surrounding tissues.

Materials And Methods: This study is a methodological research. For the test time and step count of 360° turn test; test-retest reliability were determined by calculating the intraclass correlation coefficient and concurrent validity in patients with knee osteoarthritis was investigated by correlation with the timed up and go test time.
