Endometriosis and adenomyosis are prevalent causes of infertility, often coexisting in a significant proportion of patients. Although endometriosis typically does not negatively impact assisted reproductive technology (ART) outcomes, the presence of coexisting adenomyosis, mainly non-severe external forms, may slightly influence IVF/ICSI success rates. However, this impact is often minimal and may result in insignificant changes in statistical analyses.

This co-expression profile presents a novel and attractive opportunity for a dual targeting approach using an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC). In this study, we used a unique avidity-driven screening approach to generate pCAD x CDH17 bispecific antibodies that selectively target cells expressing both antigens over cells expressing only pCAD or only CDH17.

In the second stage, the vortex platform was placed in a magnetic field to facilitate the growth and development of a porous silica shell. The selected drug for this study was micafungin, an antifungal agent well regarded for its effectiveness in combating fungal infections and identified as a priority compound by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Synaptic loss is an eminent feature of tauopathies including PSP. Novel synaptic positron emission tomography tracer UCB-J holds great potential for early diagnosis; however, there is a substantial knowledge gap in terms of the mechanism and the extent and nature of synaptic loss in PSP.

Background: Defining the nature of the unilateral cleft lip and palate nasal deformity (uCLND) and its optimal surgical correction continues to be a challenge. The purpose of this study was to develop a data-driven model of the primary unrepaired osseocartilaginous skeleton of the nasomaxillary complex.
Methods: CT scans of nineteen 3-month-old infants with unrepaired unilateral cleft lip and palate and nineteen age- and race-matched controls were analyzed.
Background: To evaluate the respiratory functions in children with cat sensitization accompanying allergic respiratory diseases and to compare these with those of healthy controls, as well as within themselves by classifying according to their diseases, domestic cat exposure, and age groups.
Methods: This prospective case-control study included 130 children aged 3-17 years with cat sensitization (CS group) accompanying respiratory allergic diseases and 70 age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HC group). The cases' demographic parameters were recorded, and respiratory functions were analyzed using IOS and spirometry.
Examination of monosodium urate crystals in the synovial fluid remains the gold standard for the diagnosis of gout. On ultra-sound (US) examination, the double contour sign (DCS) is one of the most common imaging findings of gout. In this article, we present, for the first time, a unique imaging finding mimicking DCS after US-guided intra-articular knee injection of steroid and discuss it in light of the literature data.

Hemodialysis patients have theoretical risks for both deficiency and accumulation of trace elements. We aimed to investigate the relationship between cognitive dysfunction and whole blood levels of trace elements in hemodialysis patients.

Although studies are focused on the detection of residues of accelerants depending on time or matrices, the time-dependent effect of the water extinguishing method in a fire has not yet been investigated. Experimental studies are needed to determine how long ignitable liquid residues can be detected in water-extinguished evidence compared to the smothering method.

IL-21 and IL-23 play significant roles in the production and differentiation of Th17 cells. In this study, we aimed to evaluate serum levels of IL-21 and IL-23 in FMF patients both at diagnosis and after treatment, and to compare these levels with those of healthy controls.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted global healthcare systems, necessitating substantial shifts in patient care strategies. The pandemic's onset led to drastic operational changes in hospitals, including reduced bed capacity and staffing levels, which could have further influenced the mortality outcomes for geriatric patients. The study aimed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on 1-year mortality rates of surgically treated geriatric hip fractures.

Since their development, accidental and intentional cases of superwarfarin poisoning have been reported. We report the first human case of poisoning by butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) quinone methide acting as a superwarfarin otherwise reported to be a well tolerated food additive and preservative and used as an antioxidant, stabilizer, anti-skinning agent in various industries.

Methods: 32 male Wistar-Albino rats were used and divided into two groups: the study group (VA) and the control group. From the time they were operated on until they were sacrificed, the rats in the study group were given 100 mg/kg/day VA by oral gavage.
Objective: To investigate the anatomical parameters of the ideal screw trajectory for percutaneous intralaminar screw fixation of a pars defect in lumbar spondylolysis using computed tomography scans.
Methods: Using advanced radiological software, the ideal intralaminar screw trajectory was determined. The anatomical parameters of this trajectory were analyzed using a total of 80 single-level lumbar tomography scans in patients with spondylolysis at the lumbar 4 vertebrae and lumbar 5 vertebrae levels.
