Background: The objective of this study was to evaluate the levels of Vascular Peroxidase 1 (VPO1), humanin, and MOTS-c in relation to miR-200c expression in untreated preeclamptic pregnancies, and to compare these findings with endoglin levels.
Methods And Results: In this study, blood samples were collected from preeclamptic patients presenting to the clinic prior to the initiation of treatment. The levels of endoglin, VPO1, humanin, and MOTS-c were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), while miR-200c expression was quantified using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
Background: Volatile substance (thinner) addiction can cause serious cardiac events, such as malignant ventricular arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, sudden death syndrome, and dilated cardiomyopathy, as reported in many case studies. We aimed to find echocardiographic and electrocardiographic parameters that could foresee these adverse outcomes in clinical settings.
Methods: We enrolled 32 healthy young adult patients with at least 1 year of thinner addiction and no cardiac symptoms.
The motivation of this study is to develop and establish an occupational accident dynamical model (OA model) based on Susceptible-Infected-Recovered framework. In order to investigate the dynamics of the OA model, monthly occupational accident data from Turkey between 2013 and 2020 has been selected as dataset. The OA model is defined by a coupled first-order ordinary nonlinear differential equation with four variables.

Background: The agricultural sector is vital for food production, economic stability, and environmental sustainability. However, it also poses significant occupational health and safety challenges due to factors such as heavy machinery usage, exposure to chemicals, and challenging environmental conditions.
Method: This cross-sectional study involved 366 farmers affiliated with the Yozgat Chamber of Agriculture in Turkey.

Background And Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of milk and banana given as a bedtime snack to patients with primary insomnia on sleep parameters and some biochemical parameters such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor, leptin, and ghrelin.
Methods And Study Design: 21 patients with insomnia who met the inclusion criteria participated in this study. The patients were divided into 3 parallel groups: banana, milk and control.
Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) burden is defined as the proportion of time the patient remains in AF over a given period of time; thus, it is theoretically highest in permanent AF and lowest in paroxysmal AF. Inflammation is associated with the initiation and maintenance of AF. However, the relationship between systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and AF burden is unknown.

Aim: To investigate gender differences in scientometric indices among faculty members in dental schools across Iran. This included overall data and speciality-specific data.
Background Mean platelet volume (MPV), reflecting platelet size and activation, has been associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk and mortality. Yet, its prognostic significance in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains uncertain. This study investigates whether elevated MPV levels upon admission in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients predict adverse in-hospital outcomes after primary PCI.

Additionally, its imidazole side was brominated to increase the efficiency of singlet oxygen production by increasing the intersystem crossing. The photophysical properties of the new synthesized BOPIM derivative were investigated in general organic solvents with different polarities.

However, the causal mechanisms of such collisions in low-speed areas and for different collision types remain unclear. This observational study investigates the complex relationships between geometries, speeds, visibilities, and road traffic collisions in the context of low-speed urban areas.

The exact role of the NLR in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is unclear. We investigated the possible association between peak NLR values within the first three days after STEMI onset and in-hospital outcomes in patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

The study aimed to demonstrate the views (barriers-benefits), satisfaction, and expectations of individuals with MS about telerehabilitation services.
Methods: A prospective cross-sectional was conducted with 82 individuals with MS who received telerehabilitation services for at least one year.
Background White blood cell count (WBC) and mean platelet volume (MPV) have been shown to be hematologic parameters of prognostic significance in acute coronary syndrome. We sought to determine the relationship between the WBC/MPV ratio (WMR), coronary artery disease (CAD) complexity, and long-term clinical outcomes in patients with non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Hypothesis WMR has a relationship with the complexity of CAD and long-term clinical outcomes in NSTEMI patients.

For this evaluation, an online survey was created and sent to cardiologists affiliated with various academic posts in Ankara, Turkey. The survey included ten cases with various ethical considerations selected from our book, "Clinic Ethics with Cases from Cardiology.

Methods: Sixty patients with blepharoptosis or pseudoptosis due to dermatochalasis and 30 healthy controls were included in the study. Forty eyes underwent upper blepharoplasty and 20 eyes underwent levator surgery.
Introduction: The psychosocial effect of the pandemic on people with a disease such as multiple sclerosis (MS) that can cause disability and which medications that affect the immune system are used in treatment should be evaluated by physicians. We aimed to determine the psychosocial effects of the pandemic on MS patients and to evaluate the working and treatment continuation status, compliance with pandemic rules, and their perceptions regarding coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Methods: This study was designed as a cross-sectional and descriptive survey study.

Objective: This study aims to investigate potential differences in the presence of Transforming Growth Factor-Beta 1 (TGF-β1) between the vein walls of patients with varicocele and those of healthy individuals.
Patients And Methods: The study comprised a total of 40 participants, divided into two groups. The control group (Group 1) consisted of 20 patients who underwent coronary bypass surgery, while the varicocele group (Group 2) included 20 patients scheduled for varicocelectomy.
Action myoclonus-renal failure (AMRF) syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by myoclonic epilepsy with occasional renal failure comorbidity. This study examines a consanguineous family with multiple members presenting myoclonic epilepsy. The disease's continued transmission within the family is attributable to a lack of genetic testing and the inability to establish a definitive diagnosis.

Intermediate metabolites emerging in this pathway have been associated with many neurogenerative diseases. This study aimed to compare tryptophan pathway metabolite levels in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and healthy controls and reveal the relationship of tryptophan metabolites with disease subtype and the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score.
