Parkinson's disease is primarily marked by mitochondrial dysfunction and metabolic abnormalities. We recently reported that the combined metabolic activators improved the immunohistochemical parameters and behavioural functions in Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease animal models and the cognitive functions in Alzheimer's disease patients. These metabolic activators serve as the precursors of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and glutathione, and they can be used to activate mitochondrial metabolism and eventually treat mitochondrial dysfunction.

Introduction: Rationing of nursing care is a concern in healthcare settings worldwide, as it is associated with negative outcomes for both patients and nursing staff.
Background: Little is known about the precursors of rationing of nursing care in developing countries.
Neurological disorders, including cerebral vascular occlusions and strokes, present a major global health challenge due to their high mortality rates and long-term disabilities. Early diagnosis, particularly within the first hours, is crucial for preventing irreversible damage and improving patient outcomes. Although neuroimaging techniques like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have advanced significantly, traditional methods often fail to fully capture the complexity of brain lesions.

The aim of this narrative review is to evaluate current outcome measures in knee arthroplasty (KA) and explore how evolving patient populations and technological advancements may necessitate the use of different patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) for evaluating UKA. While UKA offers potential advantages over TKA in early pain relief and functional outcomes, most randomised control trials using traditional PROMs have failed to show definitive superiority.

Objectives: To evaluate the MoCA as an outcome measure in PSP clinical trials.
Purpose: This study aimed to determine estrogen receptor (ER) expression in stromal cells in postchemotherapy tumor bed (PCTB) and its relationship with tumor regression and tumor characteristics.
Methods: The study included 490 breast cancer patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). We performed ER in stromal cells in all resection specimens and available pre-treatment core biopsy materials of 299 patients immunohistochemically.
Objective: This study aimed to compare bone marrow aspirate (BMA) multicolor flow cytometry (MFC) analysis and bone marrow biopsy (BMB) in detecting bone marrow (BM) involvement in children with neuroblastoma (NB) at diagnosis and during follow-up.
Materials And Methods: A total of 132 BM samples from 39 patients (M/F ratio: 19/20; median age: 38 months) with neuroblastoma were simultaneously obtained for evaluation. The samples were investigated for BM involvement using BMB and MFC.
Bee products are an important source of nutrients and bioactive phytochemicals. This study aimed to determine the chemical composition (proximate composition, general phytochemical composition, sugar, and phenolic profiles) of four different products (honey, bee pollen, bee bread, and propolis), obtained from the same apiary, as well as to assess their biological activity through antioxidant and enzyme inhibition assays (α-amylase, α-glucosidase, lipase, AchE, neuraminidase, angiotensin-converting enzyme, urease, trypsin, tyrosinase, carbonic anhydrase, thioredoxin reductase, adenosine deaminase). Clear differences were observed among the samples in terms of both chemical composition and biological activity.

Propolis is a natural product with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties collected from plants by honey bees. The aim of this study was to investigate the protective role of propolis against the potential toxic effects of cadmium chloride in blood, liver and kidney tissues.

Design: Sibling oocyte randomized pilot study conducted between December 2020 and March 2023. Eligible couples (n = 55) were women aged 18-43 years with BMI 35 km/m or lower and male normal semen parameters. Cumulus oocyte complexes (COC) (six to 12) were randomized in a 1:1:2 proportion in long (16-18 h) or short (2 h) co-incubation IVF exposure and ICSI, respectively.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between plateletcrit (PCT) and stages of hypertensive disease of pregnancy by comparing values in groups with healthy pregnancies, gestational hypertension [GHT], preeclampsia with proteinuria [PE + P] and severe preeclampsia with proteinuria [sPE + P]. The secondary aim was to investigate how proteinuria affects PCT values in these patients.
Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study.
Introduction: Thrombocytopenia is a common clinical problem in cancer patients undergoing high-dose chemotherapy and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). It can occur as prolonged isolated thrombocytopenia (PIT) or secondary failure of platelet recovery (SFPR) and may cause potentially fatal bleeding. However, data on the treatment of post-transplant thrombocytopenia is still lacking.

It has been reported that combination therapy is more effective than ET alone and is safe in elderly patients as well as young patients. Nevertheless, elderly and very old patients with HR+/HER2-MBC treated with CDK4/6 inhibitor (CDK4/6i) combinations are relatively underrepresented in randomized controlled trials.

This study was aimed at the immunohistochemical investigation of the presence, cellular localization and temporal distribution of the intermediate filaments keratin 8 (CK8), keratin 18 (CK18), keratin 19 (CK19), vimentin, desmin and laminin, all of which contribute to the formation of the cytoskeleton in the rat mammary gland during pregnancy, lactation and involution. On days 7, 14 and 21 of pregnancy (pregnancy period), on day 7 post-delivery (lactation period) and on day 7 post-weaning (involution period), under ketamine hydrochloride (Ketalar-Pfizer) (90 mg/kg) anesthesia, two mammary glands were fully excised from the abdominal region.

With the growing interest in the application of levan polysaccharide for regenerative purposes over the last decade, a noticeable gap in in-vivo validations remains. This research therefore fills this gap by utilizing the cytocompatibility and cell proliferation potential of levan hydrogels and marks a preliminary effort in its use in combination with Bio-Oss® for bone regeneration, which was examined both in-vitro and in-vivo for the first time.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder caused by the interaction of genetic and complex environmental factors. The prevalence of autism has dramatically increased in countries and regions undergoing rapid industrialization and urbanization. Recent studies have shown that particulate matter (PM) in air pollution affects the development of neurons and disrupts the function of the nervous system, leading to behavioral and cognitive problems and increasing the risk of ASD.
