Deep learning models are used to minimize the number of polyps that goes unnoticed by the experts and to accurately segment the detected polyps during interventions. Although state-of-the-art models are proposed, it remains a challenge to define representations that are able to generalize well and that mediate between capturing low-level features and higher-level semantic details without being redundant. Another challenge with these models is that they are computation and memory intensive, which can pose a problem with real-time applications.

Sepsis predictors in earthquake survivors: A comparative analysis of amputation and fasciotomy patients.

Objectives: This study aimed to identify predictors of sepsis in earthquake survivors who underwent either amputation or fasciotomy and to compare these two patient groups across many clinical outcomes, including sepsis.

Patients And Methods: In this retrospective study, a total of 1,608 patients who presented to our hospital following the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş earthquakes were evaluated between February 2023 and March 2023. Of these, 138 patients (65 males, 73 females; median age: 35 years; range, 18 to 74 years) who underwent either fasciotomy or amputation were included in the study.

Prognostic accuracy of blood cell count ratios in predicting adverse outcomes in crush syndrome patients.

The rationale behind this study was the lack of an accurate predictor to facilitate treatment management and anticipate prognosis in crush syndrome. Our research aimed to investigate the following: (1) Is there a correlation between the ratios of blood cell counts upon admission and the adverse outcomes of crush syndrome? and (2) if such a correlation exists, what are the precise thresholds of blood cell count ratios for predicting these adverse outcomes? In this single-centered and retrospective design study, we analyzed all patients admitted to our hospital after Kahramanmaras Earthquake. Background: This study reports our seven-year experience of one-year follow-up results after scrotal and testicular trauma, classified according to the Gülhane Grading System (GGS).
