Background And Objectives: The Caspase14 (CASP14) was reported that the low expression of CASP14 in ovarian cancer and colon cancer was associated with cancer progression, on the other hand, that the CASP14 expression in breast cancer was higher than that of non-cancerous tissues. The purpose of this study is to determine the clinical significance of CASP14 in breast cancer.

Methods: We performed immunohistochemistry for CASP14, ER, PgR, HER2, Ki67, EGFR, CK5/6, CD44, CD24, ALDH1, claudins, and androgen receptor in 222 breast cancer patients including 55 TNBC cases, and evaluated the relationship of CASP14, above-mentioned markers, and prognosis.

Patients younger than the age of 40 were diagnosed to have premature ovarian insufficiency based on their menstrual history and sonographic examination and they were compared with healthy females.

Methods: This non-interventional, multicenter study enrolled previously treated patients who failed to achieve target IOP (or experienced unacceptable adverse events [AEs]) and were prescribed a PGA/P-containing IOP-lowering agent. Adenovirus 36 (Ad-36) has recently been suggested as a possible contributor to the current obesity epidemic. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of Ad-36 antibodies in obese children, as well as investigate the role of serum leptin and lipid levels in Ad-36-obesity. Seventy-one obese children and 62 non-obese children were included as the patient group (PG), including the healthy control group (HCG), respectively.

Pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) are a type of pancreatic tumor, which have been identified following improvements in diagnostic imaging. Dimethyl sulfoxide but not indomethacin is efficient for healing in hydrofluoric acid eye burns.

Introduction: In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of indomethacin and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), well-known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents, to heal eye burns induced with hydrofluoric acid in rabbits.

Methods: After general anesthesia, the right eye of 72 male New Zealand rabbits were burned by instillation of 2% hydrofluoric acid for 60s. Following this, the eyes were irrigated with 500 cc normal saline.

Objective: To examine characteristics, healthcare utilization and costs among patients with psoriasis who have high medical costs.

Methods: This is a retrospective study of patients with psoriasis with continuous enrollment from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2013 in a large US health plan. Total paid 2012 healthcare costs excluding biologics (to identify costliest not due to biologic costs) were used to create cohorts representing the top 10% (T10) and bottom 90% (B90) of expenditures.

An Asymptomatic and Overelongated Styloid Process.

Elongation of the styloid process is a rare condition. Only 4% of patients have clinical symptoms where elongated styloid process (ESP) occasionally irritates or disrupts adjacent anatomical structures, which is called Eagle syndrome. This present report was aimed at reporting an asymptomatic ESP with unusual width and length.

Synergistic Effect of Freezing and Irradiation on Bonito Fish ( Sarda sarda Bloch, 1793).

In this study, bonito fish ( Sarda sarda Bloch, 1793) were irradiated at 3 or 5 kGy, packaged, frozen, and stored at -20 ± 2°C for 12 months. During storage, the microbiological, physical, and chemical changes of the fish flesh were then assessed. Increasing the irradiation dose to 5 kGy provided greater inhibition of mesophilic and psychotropic aerobic bacteria (P < 0.
