Methods: The study was a retrospective investigation by the Department of Medical Biochemistry of the Ankara Training and Research Hospital between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2022. Our study evaluated the results of 6297 patients aged 18-95 years who underwent cholesterol panel TC, TG, HDL-C, and direct LDL-C in our laboratory. The estimated LDL-C was calculated according to Friedewald, Martin/Hopkins, and Sampson formulae.

Methods: NULM material was prepared from leftover patients' lipemic serum sample (triglyceride concentration >2,000 mg/dL) pool by a refrigerated high-speed centrifuge, and IVLE Omegaven lipid emulsion (30%) was used. Serum pools for interference study were prepared from patient samples for which serum protein electrophoresis was studied as Normal SPEP and M Peak SPEP.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to compare the directly measured low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), Friedewald, and a new Martin LDL-C formula in the Turkish adult population.
Methods: A total of 1,558 patients between the ages of 18 and 65 years with a triglyceride level of <400 mg/dL were included in this study. Serum lipid profiles of all the patients were measured with Cobas 6000 c501 (Roche Diagnostic), and LDL-C concentrations were measured by a homogeneous direct method using reagents.
This study aimed to develop sorafenib loaded magnetic microspheres for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. To achieve this goal, superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) were synthesised and encapsulated in alginate microspheres together with an antineoplastic agent, sorafenib. In the study, firstly SPIONs were synthesised and characterised by dynamic light scattering, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.

Methods: Study group consisted of 40 healthy control, 44 PD and 44 HD patients. Routine biochemical analytes, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free T3, free T4, vitamin B12, ferritin and folic acid were measured.
Background/aim: The aim of this study is to determine the reference ranges of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25(OH)vitD) by an indirect method using data obtained from patients over the course of 3 years.
Materials And Methods: The 25(OH)vitD test results of the patients who applied to the medical biochemistry laboratory of Balıkesir State Hospital between the years of 2010 and 2014 were analyzed. Patient data were retrospectively taken from the laboratory information system.

Aims: To investigate serum levels of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPO), and 25(OH)D in the presence or absence of metabolic syndrome in an obese population.
Methods: Data from a prospectively generated "Obesity Polyclinic" database that includes socio-demographic characteristics, anthropometric, and laboratory measurements of obese subjects were retrospectively analyzed. Subjects with body-mass index (BMI) ≥30kg/m(2) were eligible.
