Development of chitosan based optimized edible coating for tomato () and its characterization.

In the present work experiments were carried out to optimize coating formulation in central composite rotatable design varying chitosan and glycerol concentration from 0.5 to 3% (w/w) and 0 to 3% (w/w) respectively as two independent factors. Total color difference and respiration rate was selected for tomato parameters and water vapor permeability and percentage solubility was selected for coating parameters as response.

Biofloc technology application in indoor culture of Labeo rohita (Hamilton, 1822) fingerlings: The effects on inorganic nitrogen control, growth and immunity.

The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of biofloc-based aquaculture system on inorganic nitrogen control, and growth and immunological responses of rohu (Labeo rohita). Fingerlings of rohu were cultured in indoor biofloc tanks in light-limited condition for 16 weeks with daily addition of molasses as carbon source to maintain the C/N ratio at 15. Different water quality parameters were measured at weekly interval.

Retrospective comparison of functional and radiological outcome, between two contemporary high flexion knee designs.

Introduction: Patient satisfaction after total knee replacement (TKR) depends on the amount of pain relief and the functional activities achieved. An important criterion of good functional outcome is the amount of flexion achieved and whether the patient can manage high flexion activities. In order to increase the amount of safe flexion, various implant designs have been developed.

Effect of geometric and process variables on the performance of inclined plate settlers in treating aquacultural waste.

Inclined plate settlers are used in treating wastewater due to their low space requirement and high removal rates. The prediction of sedimentation efficiency of these settlers is essential for their performance evaluation. In the present study, the technique of dimensional analysis was applied to predict the sedimentation efficiency of these inclined plate settlers.
