Background And Objectives: Despite decreasing prevalence of migraine with advancing age, there remains a significant proportion of individuals aged ≥65 years with migraine. Treatment of this population is difficult and they are often excluded from clinical trials, limiting evidence regarding migraine treatment outcomes. Our objective is to assess the efficacy and tolerability of anti-calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) monoclonal antibody (mAb) therapies (erenumab, fremanezumab, and galcanezumab) in patients ≥65 years (O65) compared with patients <65 (U65) with daily or nondaily migraine.

Objective: To analyze the impact of interview date on the applicant rank for Neurology residencies in the United States.

Methods: A multi-institutional retrospective review of interview dates and applicant rank list data for the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) was conducted for five Neurology programs, totaling 1932 interviewed applicants over a combined total of 31 interview years. For each candidate, the interview date and applicant rank were abstracted along with the total number of interviews for that season.

An anatomical study of wormian bones from the eastern part of India: is genetic influence a primary determinant of their morphogenesis?

Over the years a number of investigators have analysed the morphology of wormian bones in different population groups across the world. There have been significant variations between findings reported in these studies, and this has prompted researchers to focus on the influence of genetic factors on the morphology of these bones. In the light of the above observation, we considered it justified to conduct anatomical studies on wormian bones in different population groups; hence, we undertook the present study to look into the morphological details of these bones among a population in the eastern part of India.

Adriaan van den Spiegel (1578-1625) was a Flemish anatomist and physician. He was one of the most prominent anatomists at the University of Padua during the 17th century and became professor of anatomy and surgery there in 1619. He was privileged to have two of the most accomplished anatomists of that period, Fabricius ab Aquapendente and Iulius Casserius, as his teachers.

Unusual branching pattern of facial artery and a short review.

A detailed knowledge of the facial blood supply is necessary in planning of different types of orofacial surgeries. However abnormal pattern of facial blood supply may modify the result of the treatment, if it is not predicted in advance. Here we report two rare cases of unusual presentation of facial blood supply and the clinical implications of such findings, correlating with the previous studies.
