Efficacy of some natural compounds as antifungal agents.

Natural sources have been important for the development of new active molecules for many years. Various small molecules with unique chemical skeleton and potent bioactivities were discovered through various sources like plants, marine products, and microorganisms, etc., which are considered as very important part of the nature.

Synthesis, antifungal evaluation and molecular docking studies on 2- thioxoimidazolidin-4-one derivatives.

A series of 2-thioxoimidazolidin-4-one derivatives were synthesized and were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectral data and elemental analysis. All compounds were tested for antifungal and antibacterial activity. Some of the compounds were found to exhibit promising antifungal activity.

Prescribing pattern of antidiabetic drugs in indore city hospital.

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, glycosuria, and sometimes ketonemia. The present study was carried out to assess prescribing practice and general trend of diabetes among patients at the Bombay Hospital, Indore. Prescriptions and complete records of diabetic patients were monitored and data was filed as per WHO prescription proforma.

Transdermal delivery by iontophoresis.

Recently there has been an increased interest in using iontophoretic technique for the transdermal delivery of medications, both ionic and nonionic. This article is an overview of the history of iontophoresis and factors affecting iontophoretic drug transfer for the systemic effects and laws for development of Transdermal delivery system are discussed.
