Tadalafil vs. tamsulosin in the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia: a prospective, randomized study.

Introduction: To compare the efiicacy of tadalafil 5 mg with tamsulosin 0.4 mg in the treatment of Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Material And Methods: A randomized prospective study on patients diagnosed with LUTS secondary to BPH with 50 patients in each group.

Laparoscopic Nissen Rossetti fundoplication: Possibility towards day care anti-reflux surgeries.

Introduction: As we proceed towards more and more day care surgeries we always need to choose patients and procedures within a great deal of safety margin. Anti reflux surgeries are gaining more popularity and awareness and Laparoscopic Nissen Rosetti fundoplication is a safe and effective method of performing them.

Methods And Observations: Our case series of 25 patients who underwent day care Laparoscopic Nissen Rossetti fundoplication done over a period of 3 years suggests the feasibility and safety of performing day care anti reflux surgeries with no complications.

The tip of the iceberg: Post caesarean wound dehiscence presenting as abdominal wound sepsis.

Introduction: Uterine scar dehiscence can complicate caesarean section with complications like post partum hemorrhage, endomyometritis, localized/generalized peritonitis, and sepsis.

Presentation Of Case: Our patient had abdominal wound infection after LSCS surgery and features of sepsis. The wound infection was actually the presentation of a uterine scar dehiscence and localized peritonitis.
