Combining spatially resolved x-ray Laue diffraction with atomic-scale simulations, we observe how ion-irradiated tungsten undergoes a series of nonlinear structural transformations with increasing radiation exposure. Nanoscale defect-induced deformations accumulating above 0.02 displacements per atom (dpa) lead to highly fluctuating strains at ∼0.

In-service, fusion neutron irradiation creates lattice defects through collision cascades. Helium, injected from plasma, aggravates damage by increasing defect retention.

We used an established murine corneal scar model by irregular phototherapeutic keratectomy in ten C57BL/6 mice, with serial imaging using the micro-OCT and compared to anterior segment (AS-OCT) (RTvue, Optovue, Fremont, CA) before and after scar induction. Main outcome was agreement between the AS-OCT and micro-OCT using Bland-Altman plots (95% limits of agreement, LoA).

Methods: Cross-sectional, observational, comparative case series. We performed sequential OCTA scans (10 eyes of 10 subjects with corneal vascularisation,4 scans each eye) repeated using split-spectrum amplitude decorrelation algorithm angiography system (SSADA, AngioVue; Optovue Inc, USA) and SD OCTA (Angioscan; Nidek Co.
In this paper a compact and efficient polarization splitter using horizontal slotted waveguides is presented. The splitter is designed by finite-difference-time-domain simulation and realized experimentally. The splitter is built by using a direction coupler consisting of two horizontal slotted waveguides and achieves a high extinction ratio of 14.
