A chemodosimeter for the ratiometric detection of hydrazine based on return of ESIPT and its application in live-cell imaging.

A probe based on 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl) benzothiazole (HBT) has been synthesized and used for the ratiometric detection of hydrazine. The probe is designed in such a way that the excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) of the HBT moiety gets blocked. The chemodosimetric approach of hydrazine to the probe results in the recovery of the ESIPT by removal of a free HBT moiety through subsequent substitution, cyclization, and elimination processes.

Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry method for the simultaneous stereoselective determination of venlafaxine and its major metabolite, O-desmethylvenlafaxine, in human plasma.

A sensitive, accurate and highly stereoselective assay for the simultaneous determination of venlafaxine (VEN) and its equipotent metabolite, O-desmethyl venlafaxine (ODV), in human plasma was developed and validated. Analytes were simultaneously extracted from plasma using solid-phase extraction and detected by tandem mass spectrometry in positive ion mode with a turbo ion spray interface. Deuterium-labeled VEN and ODV were used as internal standards.

Thiophene anchored coumarin derivative as a turn-on fluorescent probe for Cr3+: cell imaging and speciation studies.

A thiophene-coumarin hybrid molecule, (6E)-6-((thiophen-2-yl)methyleneamino)-2H-chromen-2-one (TMC) has been prepared and its single crystal X-ray structure is reported. TMC can selectively detect Cr(3+) in presence of other common cations. Both TMC and its Cr(3+) complex are well characterized by different spectroscopic techniques like (1)H NMR, QTOF-MS ES(+), FTIR and elemental analysis as well.
