- Pregnant rats were divided into four groups receiving different doses of Carbamazepine (25, 50, and 100 mg/kg) from gestation days 5 to 19, with assessments made on gestation day 20.
- The results showed a notable reduction in pregnancy rates and an increase in fetal malformations, particularly in the intermediate and high dose groups, including brain and skeletal deformities.
