Efficient Green Synthesis, Anticancer Activity, and Molecular Docking Studies of Indolemethanes Using a Bioglycerol-Based Carbon Sulfonic Acid Catalyst.

Indolemethane derivatives are significant molecules in the study of -heterocyclic chemistry. Herein, we designed and developed a highly efficient green synthesis of indolemethane compounds using a recyclable biodegradable glycerol-based carbon solid acid catalyst under solvent-free conditions at room temperature for 5 min with excellent yields. The synthesized compounds were subjected to cytotoxic activity against prostate (DU145), hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2), and melanoma (B16) cell lines.

Analysis of root coverage esthetic score in patients treated for gingival recession: An interexaminer reliability.

Background: Awareness about pink esthetics among dentists in general needs to be assessed as root coverage procedures are the mainstay of treatment for gingival recession. Concordance among the dentists in figuring out the esthetic outcomes after root coverage procedures is inconsistent. Hence, this study aims to evaluate inter- and intra-examiner reliability of root coverage esthetic scores (RES) between periodontists and nonperiodontists.

Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access Technique with Platelet-Rich Fibrin Compared to Subepithelial Connective Tissue Graft for the Treatment of Multiple Gingival Recessions: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial.

Background: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of root coverage through vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access (VISTA) technique using platelet rich fibrin (PRF) or subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG) in multiple gingival recessions.

Materials And Methods: A total of 20 patients with multiple gingival recessions were included, and 10 subjects were randomly allocated to test group (VISTA with PRF) and 10 patients to control group (VISTA with SCTG). Clinical parameters were recorded at baseline, 3 months, and 6 months.

A simple and efficient chemoenzymatic total synthesis of the naturally occurring insect pheromones, (4R)-dodecanolide and (4R)-octanolide is described.
