Lingual lymph node (LLN) metastasis is regarded as an indicator of unfavorable prognosis and a crucial sign of the high degree of primary tumor aggressiveness. However, detecting LLN metastasis is an important but frequently overlooked aspect of diagnosis and surgical treatment planning.
