Purpose: Using a US nationally representative survey of adults, we aimed to evaluate the association between prevalent diabetes and the uptake of COVID-19 testing, rate of positive testing and symptom severity.
Methods: Data were sourced from the 2020-2021 National Health Interview Survey. COVID-19 outcomes were defined as: (1) test uptake (2) test positivity (3) diagnosis of COVID-19 and (4) severe disease symptoms with a positive COVID-19 test result.
Background: To explore the associations between coronavirus infection incidence and weight status and social participation restrictions among community-dwelling adults in the United States.
Methods: We analyzed data from the 2021 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), which included a representative sample of 29,394 individuals (Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19): 3,205) and a weighted total of 252,461,316 individuals (COVID-19: 31,697,404), considering the complex sampling design used in the survey.
Results: Age, race/ethnicity, education level, family income index, body mass index (BMI), and smoking status were significantly associated with COVID-19 infection.
The current study aimed to develop and analyze a dementia care center nurse (DCCN) job description using Developing a Curriculum (DACUM) in Korea. Seven DCCN panels participated in the DACUM workshop to define the duties and tasks. The developed duties and tasks were validated with a survey that included the importance, difficulty, frequency, and educational needs of the duties and tasks.

By means of low-temperature growth at 80 K, we succeeded in fabricating a monolayer stanene on Co/Cu(111) and resolving ferromagnetic spin contrast by field-dependent spin-polarized scanning tunneling microscopy (SP-STM). We classify Chern insulator ferromagnets as either spin or orbital, depending on whether the orbital magnetization results from spontaneous spin polarization combined with spin-orbit interactions, as in the magnetically doped topological insulator case, or directly from spontaneous orbital currents, as in the moiré superlattice case. We argue that, in a given magnetic state, characterized, for example, by the sign of the anomalous Hall effect, the magnetization of an orbital Chern insulator will often have opposite signs for weak n and weak p electrostatic or chemical doping.

We propose that this stiffening of the shear modulus with decreasing temperature can be described with a glass susceptibility assuming a temperature-dependent relaxation time τ(T). Below a characteristic crossover temperature T{X}, where ωτ(T{X})∼1, a significant slowing down of dynamics leads to an increase in the shear modulus.
