In 2020, a new serotype of Vibrio parahaemolyticus O10:K4 emerged and caused several outbreaks and sporadic cases in Guangxi, China. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that those strains are new variants of the sequence type 3 pandemic clone. The new serotype may become dominant, warranting enhanced investigations and surveillance.

In this study, greenhouse experiments were conducted to investigate the individual and combined effects of phenanthrene (PHE) and copper (Cu) on rice uptake and root-associated microbial coping strategies. The results showed that more than 90% of phenanthrene was degraded, while the existence of Cu significantly reduced the dissipation of PHE in the rhizosphere, and the coexistence of phenanthrene and copper promoted their respective accumulation in plant roots.

Aim: To achieve a balance between efficiency and cost in the management of medical instrument by the use of micro needle holder.
Methods: In this study, the novel multifunctional use of micro needle holders was performed between 2018 and 2019 at the Department of Ophthalmology in the 4 hospitals in Shaanxi Province. In this innovation, the micro needle holders were initially used as micro forceps to remove sutures, as eye spud to safety extract foreign body from cornea, as ciliary forceps to remove trichiasis, as well as punctal dilator to dilate most small puncta.
While state-of-art models can predict reactions through the transfer learning of thousands of samples with the same reaction types as those of the reactions to predict, how to prepare such models to predict "unseen" reactions remains an unanswered question. We aimed to study the Transformer model's ability to predict "unseen" reactions through "zero-shot reaction prediction (ZSRP)", a concept derived from zero-shot learning and zero-shot translation. We reproduced the human invention of the Chan-Lam coupling reaction where the inventor was inspired by the Suzuki reaction when improving Barton's bismuth arylation reaction.

We present a clinical pathway for patients referred with rectal bleeding at a large tertiary public hospital in South Auckland, New Zealand and demonstrate the utility of PIFU and its impact on reducing follow up appointments.
Method: The purpose of the pathway was to allow standardized care by the clinicians and allow for PIFU.

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) is an inherited, lethal ventricular arrhythmia triggered by catecholamines. Mutations in genes that encode cardiac ryanodine receptor (RyR2) and proteins that regulate RyR2 activity cause enhanced diastolic Ca release (leak) through the RyR2 channels, resulting in CPVT.
