Background: Canaliculitis is often misdiagnosed. There are several conservative and surgical treatment options.
Patients And Methods: Retrospective analysis of 14 canaliculotomies in 10 patients with canaliculitis.
The relationship of forests in water quantity and quality has been debated during the past years. At the same time, focus on climate change has increased interest in ecosystem restoration as a means for adaptation. Climate change might become one of the key drivers pushing integrated approaches for natural resources management into practice.

The aim of this study is to determine a time-related response of HSP70 expression through topical cardiac warming with correlation to cytokine production.
Methods: 30 rats were divided into three groups: no heat shock, heat shocked, and controls.
The lactate threshold (LT) and corresponding exercise levels (rate-pressure product, workload, and exercise duration) have been proposed as objective quantitative parameters of functional capacity and cardiovascular status. The purpose of the present study was to compare three modes of exercise and to evaluate the influence of the body position, using a rapid lactate analyser and computerized determination of the LT. Eight healthy male subjects were studied.

The findings in a group of 106 patients with angina were compared with those in a group of 136 patients without angina during exercise and followed up for an average of 60 months. Multiple comparisons of clinical features, ECG, hemodynamic and angiographic data showed no significant differences between the two groups.

The ejection fraction of the 19 patients who died during the 6 month follow-up was lower than that of the 146 survivals: 41 +/- 16% vs 50 +/- 13% (P less than 0.001).

Phase analysis and ejection fraction (EF) of the left ventricle were obtained by radionuclide angiography in 53 patients at rest, during submaximal exercise and 3-8 minutes after exercise. The standard deviation of the peak of the histogram of phases (SDP) was used as an index of the synchronicity of regional contraction. The material comprised 13 sportsmen and 40 patients who underwent coronarography, 12 of whom had normal coronaries and 28 significant lesions.
