Rationale And Objectives: Photon Counting CT (PCCT) offers advanced imaging capabilities with potential for substantial radiation dose reduction; however, achieving this without compromising image quality remains a challenge due to increased noise at lower doses. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a deep learning (DL)-based denoising algorithm in maintaining diagnostic image quality in whole-body PCCT imaging at reduced radiation levels, using real intraindividual cadaveric scans.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-four cadaveric human bodies underwent whole-body CT scans on a PCCT scanner (NAEOTOM Alpha, Siemens Healthineers) at four different dose levels (100%, 50%, 25%, and 10% mAs).

Background: Although occupational therapy (OT) is frequently prescribed in clinical practice, there is still insufficient evidence regarding its efficacy to improve Parkinson's Disease (PD)-related activity limitations.
Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy of OT and the validity of different outcome-parameters to reflect efficacy, including gold-standard clinical rating scales and quantitative motor assessments.
Methods: 40 patients were included in an exploratory, randomized-controlled, single-blinded trial, receiving either (I) ten weeks of OT, with a main focus on motor aspects of activity limitations and a ten-week follow-up assessment or (II) no intervention.
In 2008 and 2009, we evaluated the duration of prophylactic deltamethrin treatments in white-tailed prairie dog ( Cynomys leucurus ) colonies and compared effects of autumn or spring dust application in suppressing flea numbers and plague. Plague occurred before and during our experiment. Overall, flea abundance tended to increase from May or June to September, but it was affected by deltamethrin treatment and plague dynamics.

In red cells of patients with elevated levels of triacylglycerol-rich lipoproteins, phosphatidylcholine (PC) was raised and sphingomyelin (SM) reduced, resulting in a 20% increase of the membrane PC/SM ratio. In plasma phospholipids of these patients PC and SM levels were also higher and lower, respectively and the plasma PC/SM ratio was elevated by more than 50%.
