Wild and semi-domesticated reindeer graze freely on natural pastures in Norway, often sharing these with domestic sheep and other domestic and wild ruminants. In this study, faecal samples from wild reindeer and domestic sheep were collected from two areas in southern Norway and analysed to assess the occurrence and assemblage of Among 162 wild reindeer samples, 25 (15%) were positive for , showing high infection intensities, with most of the samples belonging to sub-assemblage AI, which has zoonotic potential. Interestingly, this study did not detect subassemblage AIII, known to be found in wild ruminants.

Using GPS data, we compared movements and road avoidance of 2300 terrestrial mammals (43 species) during the lockdowns to the same period in 2019. Individual responses were variable with no change in average movements or road avoidance behavior, likely due to variable lockdown conditions.

Rising atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO), primarily from anthropogenic emissions, are resulting in increasing absorption of CO by the oceans, leading to a decline in oceanic pH in a process known as ocean acidification (OA). Such models have previously been described in the literature as change-in-ratio models, but we extend the applicability of the models by i) using time series data allowing the full temporal dynamics to be modelled, by ii) casting the model in an explicit hierarchical modelling framework, and by iii) estimating parameters based on Bayesian inference. Based on sensitivity analyses we conclude that the approach developed here is able to obtain estimates of demographic rate with high precision whenever unbiased data of population structure are available.

Here we investigate the response of three mobile epibenthic invertebrates (brittle stars, urchins and brown crabs), whose natural habitats overlap with large scale coastal salmon farming.
