Background: Psychiatrists face a major ethical challenge when deciding whether to make use of coercive measures in the treatment process of patients suffering from severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI). As India and Switzerland show major cultural, political and financial differences, it is hypothesized that attitudes towards coercive measures among Indian and Swiss psychiatrists will vary too. Exploring differences in attitudes between cultures strengthens the critical reflection on one's own stances and in consequence, on our way of action.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) may cause a spectrum of hepatobiliary complications, including portal hypertension, multilobular cirrhosis, and liver failure. Current guidelines on the detection and monitoring of hepatobiliary complications in CF were published in 1999. The CF Foundation assembled a committee to evaluate research advances and formulate revised guidelines for CF-associated liver disease.

Importance: Live vaccines (measles-mumps-rubella [MMR] and varicella-zoster virus [VZV]) have not been recommended after solid organ transplant due to concern for inciting vaccine strain infection in an immunocompromised host. However, the rates of measles, mumps, and varicella are rising nationally and internationally, leaving susceptible immunocompromised children at risk for life-threating conditions.

Simulating the ozone variability at regional scales using chemistry transport models (CTMs) remains a challenge. We designed a multi-model intercomparison to evaluate, for the first time, four regional CTMs on a national scale for Germany. Simulations were conducted with LOTOS-EUROS, REM-CALGRID, COSMO-MUSCAT and WRF-Chem for January 1 to December 31, 2019, using prescribed emission information.

Patient and social factors related to nebulizer use in COPD patients at the transition of care: a qualitative study.

Background: Transition from hospital to home is a vulnerable period for patients with COPD exacerbations, with a high risk for readmission and mortality. Twenty percent of patients with an initial hospitalization for a COPD exacerbation are readmitted to a hospital within 30 days, costing the health care system over $15 billion annually. While nebulizer therapy directed at some high-risk COPD patients may improve the transition from hospital to home, patient and social factors are likely to contribute to difficulties with their use.

Neurofibromatosis- and schwannomatosis-associated tumors: Approaches to genetic testing and counseling considerations.

Neurofibromatosis (NF) and schwannomatosis (SWN) are genetic conditions characterized by the risk of developing nervous system tumors. Recently revised diagnostic criteria include the addition of genetic testing to confirm a pathogenic variant, as well as to detect the presence of mosaicism. Therefore, the use and interpretation of both germline and tumor-based testing have increasing importance in the diagnostic approach, treatment decisions, and risk stratification of these conditions.

Management of immune-related cutaneous adverse events with dupilumab.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) target the PD-1/PD-L1 and CTLA-4 pathways and allows the immune system to deliver antitumor effects.
