Introduction: The Heart Team is a multidisciplinary meeting for shared decision-making in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. A quality improvement project to optimise the Heart Team was initiated after the merger of the cardiac centres of Amsterdam University Medical Centre.

Due to limitations in time, resources, and coordination of care, in current practice, this is often incomplete. We evaluated the effect of the introduction of a CRT-care pathway (CRT-CPW) on clinical outcome and costs.

Reducing surgical cancellations: a successful application of Lean Six Sigma in healthcare.

Objective: The COVID-19 pandemic emphasises the need to use healthcare resources efficient and effective to guarantee access to high-quality healthcare in an affordable manner.
