This study aimed to evaluate the incidence of revision surgeries and mesh-related complications following TOT procedures and identify potential risk factors influencing these outcomes. : This retrospective study analyzed data from patients who underwent TOT procedures at the specialized incontinence center of University Hospital Aachen (UHA), Germany, between January 2010 and May 2023.

RAD51 testing in patients with early HER2-negative breast cancer and homologous recombination deficiency: post-hoc analysis of the GeparOla trial.

Purpose: The randomized GeparOla trial reported comparable pathological complete response (pCR) rates with neoadjuvant containing olaparib vs. carboplatin treatment. Predictors of anxiety in endometriosis patients.

Purpose: To evaluate the main factors influencing anxiety in endometriosis patients presenting to an endometriosis centre in Germany.

Methods: One hundred and eighty-two patients were asked to complete the German version of the STAI (state anxiety and trait anxiety) questionnaire prior to examination for diagnosis and treatment of pelvic pain or suspected endometriosis. Typical endometriosis symptoms, main complaints, operations, type of endometriosis and planned treatment were analyzed as influencing factors of anxiety in endometriosis patients.

However, the participation rate reaches approximately 50% of the eligible women, one reason being the painful compression of the breast, cited as a major issue for not participating in this very important program.

Introduction: Endometriosis is a chronic disease associated with pain that affects at least 10% of all women of reproductive age. The symptoms of endometriosis have a negative impact on quality of life; they limit the patient physically and psychologically and are the cause of significant anxiety. The microenvironment of a cancer stem cell (CSC) niche is often found in coexistence with cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs). Here, we show the first in-depth analysis of the interaction between primary triple-negative breast cancer stem cells (BCSCs) with fibroblasts. Using 2D co-culture models with specific seeding ratios, we identified stromal fibroblast aggregation at the BCSC cluster periphery, and, on closer observation, the aggregated fibroblasts was found to encircle BCSC clusters in nematic organization.

An Analysis of PIK3CA Hotspot Mutations and Response to Neoadjuvant Therapy in Patients with Breast Cancer from Four Prospective Clinical Trials.

Purpose: The PI3K signaling pathway is frequently dysregulated in breast cancer, and mutations in PIK3CA are relevant for therapy resistance in HER2-positive (HER2pos) breast cancer.
