Background: The Bergen 4-Day Treatment (B4DT) is a concentrated cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) approach that has shown promise in treating panic disorder (PD). However, the effectiveness of the B4DT, particularly regarding long-term outcomes in rural clinical settings, remains underexplored.
Methods: A total of 58 patients were included using a naturalistic open-label trial design.
Feminist theorists have long argued that rape myths contribute to normalizing sexual assault, through belittling and denying rape victims' claims. This study examines whether descriptions of victims' behaviors are associated with sentencing in rape trials. A total of 2054 Norwegian court decisions from 2013 to 2023 in judicial records were screened.

The aim of this preliminary study was to investigate possible effects associated with metacognitive therapy (MCT) on PPCS, maladaptive coping strategies, and positive and negative metacognitive beliefs following mTBI. A pre-post design supplemented with single-case A-B replication series to assess potential MCT mechanisms was used.

Research suggests that metacognitions could be important in explaining symptoms of body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), but the effect of metacognitive therapy (MCT) on BDD is unknown. The aim of this consecutive case series was to explore MCT for BDD, delivered individually within a public mental health setting. Treatment was based on MCT manuals for obsessive-compulsive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.

This study aimed to evaluate changes in symptoms and acceptability of interdisciplinary Torture, Abuse, and Dental Anxiety (TADA) team treatment for patients with odontophobia or dental anxiety. We also wanted to describe the sample's oral health status.

Method: A sample of 1947 patients with common mental disorders, including depressive-, anxiety-, personality-, hyperkinetic- and trauma-related disorders, completed the EuroQoL 5-Dimension 5-Level (EQ-5D-5L) to assess HRQoL. We investigated clinical and sociodemographic factors associated with the EQ-5D index and the EQ Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) using regression analyses.
Objective: Stepped care models are frameworks for mental health care systems in several countries. According to Norwegian guidelines, individuals with mental health problems of mild severity should be treated in community mental health services, moderate severity in specialist mental health services, while complex/severe problems are often a shared responsibility. This study investigated whether patients are allocated as intended.

Substantial research supports the effectiveness of ERP, yet a notable portion of patients do not fully respond while others experience relapse. Understanding poor outcomes such as these necessitates further research.

This study is a sequel to a previous pilot study and open trial, set out to investigate treatment outcomes at 12-month follow-up for outpatients completing an 8-day intensive treatment for PTSD.
Methods: All patients were diagnosed with PTSD and had multiple previous psychotherapy attempts (M = 3.
Background: Few studies have examined the use of concentrated and intensified cognitive behaviour therapy for treating social anxiety disorder (SAD). The aim of this study was to examine the feasibility of the Bergen 4-Day Treatment (B4DT) for treating SAD.
Methods: This study adopted an open trial design without a control group.
The aim of this observational study was to examine the predictive and discriminant validity of patient motivation and adherence in metacognitive therapy (MCT) for depression. Motivational development for recovered- and non-recovered patients was also investigated. Motivation in sessions 1, 4, and 7 was measured using the Motivational Interviewing Skill Code 2.

This systematic review aimed to summarize and evaluate the effects of clinical representative psychotherapy on RTW among patients with a common mental disorder (CMD), treated within public mental health care.
Method: A systematic search was conducted using PubMed, PsycINFO, Embase, and SveMED+.
Background: Patient-reported outcome measures (PROM) provide clinicians with information about patients' perceptions of distress. When linked with treatment and diagnostic registers, new information on common mental health disorders (CMHD) and service use, may be obtained, which might be useful clinically and for policy decision-making. This study reports the prevalence of CMHD and their association with PROM severity.

This review and meta-analysis aimed to investigate what characterizes clinically representative therapy in Nordic routine clinics and meta-analyze the outcome of such treatment. Databases (PubMed, EMBASE, PsychINFO, and SveMed+) were searched for TAU, CMHP, and Nordic countries, together with backward and forward search in Scopus (7 November 2022).

Methods: Cross-sectional data was collected from a community sample (N = 364) who completed the Metacognitions Questionnaire-30 (MCQ-30), the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire-24 (FFMQ-24), the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II (AAQ-II), the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7), and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9).
Results: There were moderate-strong associations between mindfulness (FFMQ-24), metacognition (MCQ-30), and experiential avoidance (AAQ-II) (0.
Purpose: Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is an important aspect of mental health outcomes. There are few studies on HRQoL in heterogeneous patient populations seeking help at community mental health services. The aims of the study were to compare how HRQoL, measured by the EuroQol five dimensions with five levels (EQ-5D-5L), was distributed compared to other samples from national and international studies, and to explore what factors are associated with HRQoL.

Aim: The aim of the current study was to investigate the effectiveness of the B4DT in a large sample in a rural clinical setting.
Background: Bergen 4-day treatment (B4DT) is a concentrated exposure-based treatment (cET), where the patient receives concentrated, individually tailored cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) during four consecutive days. Previous findings have indicated that B4DT could be a promising treatment for panic disorder (PD).
Aim: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the implementation of B4DT for panic disorder with- and without agoraphobia, at a new clinic.

Background: Early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic have been associated with increasing obsessive-compulsive symptoms (OCS), but less is known regarding these symptoms' long-term trajectories. The aim of this study was to examine changes in contamination-related OCS in the Norwegian public during early and late stages of the pandemic, as well as characteristics that might be associated with these changes.
Methods: In a longitudinal online survey, 12 580 participants completed self-report questionnaires in April 2020, including a retrospective assessment of contamination-related OCS severity (DOCS-SF) prior to COVID-19.
