Purpose: We report the financial toxicity and quality-of-life outcomes of our prospective phase 1 dose-escalation study of 5-fraction stereotactic partial breast irradiation (S-PBI) for early-stage breast cancer.

Materials And Methods: Women with unifocal in situ or invasive epithelial histologies, clinical stages 0, I, or II with tumor size < 3 cm treated with lumpectomy were enrolled in our phase 1 5-fraction S-PBI dose-escalation trial. Our institutionally generated questionnaire on the "Patient Perspective Cost and Convenience of Care" and the EuroQol 5-Dimension 5-level questionnaire were administered to patients treated at follow-up.

Objective: Light exposure techniques have been recommended to combat sleep issues caused by disruption to circadian regularity in the athletic population, although studies are lacking.

Methods: A total of 17 professional male Australian Football athletes (age ± SD: 22 ± 3 years) wore a wrist actigraph to measure sleep parameters, and a wearable light sensor to measure melanopic equivalent daylight illuminance (mEDI, in lux) for 14 days. Participants completed three sleep questionnaires at the end of the data collection period and completed well-being surveys 6 times.

Background: Prior vaccination is often studied for its impact on individuals' post-infection prognosis. Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) medicines, advised by the Government of India as prophylaxis during the first wave of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, were consumed by the masses in 2020. This achievement represents the largest soluble carbon molecule obtained in its pristine form. Fullertubes, that is, fullerenes consisting of a carbon nanotube moiety capped by hemifullerene ends, are emerging carbon nanomaterials whose properties show both fullerene and carbon nanotube (CNT) traits. Albeit it may be expected that their electronic states show a certain resemblance to those of the extended nanotube, such a correlation has not yet been found or described. Here it shows a scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS) characterization of the adsorption, self-assembly, and electronic structure of 2D arrays of [5,5]-C fullertube molecules on two different noble metal surfaces, Ag(111) and Au(111).

Paleoclimate reconstructions are now integral to climate assessments, yet the consequences of using different methodologies and proxy data require rigorous benchmarking. Pseudoproxy experiments (PPEs) provide a tractable and transparent test bed for evaluating climate reconstruction methods and their sensitivity to aspects of real-world proxy networks. Here we develop a dataset that leverages proxy system models (PSMs) for this purpose, which emulates the essential physical, chemical, biological, and geological processes that translate climate signals into proxy records, making these synthetic proxies more relevant to the real world.

Background: Sickle cell disease is caused by a defect in the β-globin subunit of adult hemoglobin. Sickle hemoglobin polymerizes under hypoxic conditions, producing deformed red cells that hemolyze and cause vaso-occlusion that results in progressive organ damage and early death. Gregarious song is thought to be an intrinsically reinforced behavior facilitated by a low-stress, positive affective state that increases social cohesion within a flock.
