Incidence of Trypanosoma cruzi infection in triatomines collected at Indio Mountains Research Station.

Chagas disease, caused by the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi, is an emerging infectious disease in the United States. In our study, 24 out of 39 triatomines, from the specie Triatoma rubida, were infected with T. cruzi.
