- During the 17-month review, out of 11,716 EMA tests, 349 were positive, with 70% of seropositive patients undergoing intestinal biopsy, revealing celiac disease in 194 of those.
- While most positive results were managed appropriately, issues arose with 33 cases where patients began a gluten-free diet without a confirmed diagnosis and others where follow-ups were not conducted.
