  • A study analyzed the effects of antithrombin III supplementation on coagulation parameters in both adult and pediatric ECMO patients.
  • Results indicated that while antithrombin III improved anti-Xa levels significantly, it did not substantially decrease heparin infusion rates, suggesting restoration of heparin responsiveness in patients with low antithrombin activity.
