Proactive total diet replacement referral for type 2 diabetes: A service evaluation.

Aims: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus morbidity disproportionally effects the most socioeconomically deprived 20 % of England. Total Diet Replacement (TDR) is a high impact intervention currently commissioned by Integrated Care Boards (ICB). Finding and referring eligible, motivated patients is a significant challenge.

Background: Obesity is classified as a body mass index (BMI) >30kg/m and contributes to poor health outcomes in the UK. In 2017-18, obesity resulted in 711,000 hospital admissions. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommends GPs educate patients who are obese and refer them to exercise programmes.

Re-starting smoking in the postpartum period after receiving a smoking cessation intervention: a systematic review.

Aims: In pregnant smoking cessation trial participants, to estimate (1) among women abstinent at the end of pregnancy, the proportion who re-start smoking at time-points afterwards (primary analysis) and (2) among all trial participants, the proportion smoking at the end of pregnancy and at selected time-points during the postpartum period (secondary analysis).

Methods: Trials identified from two Cochrane reviews plus searches of Medline and EMBASE. Twenty-seven trials were included.
