Oxidized regenerated cellulose (Ethicon Surgicel) is often used during surgery to achieve hemostasis. The appearance of Surgicel on postoperative computed tomography (CT) may be mistaken for abscess. Meanwhile, the literature regarding its ultrasound appearance remains scant.
