Purpose: Centralization of care to high-volume centers improves outcomes across urologic malignancies, but there exists a paucity of data for low-incidence cancers. Given the rarity of primary urethral cancer (UC) and the need for complex multidisciplinary treatment, we sought to evaluate differences in practice patterns and clinical outcomes across types of treating facilities.
Materials And Methods: We identified all patients diagnosed with UC from 2004 to 2016 in the National Cancer Database.
Purpose: The Ponseti Method has dramatically altered the management of clubfoot, with particular implications for limited-resource settings. We sought to describe outcomes of care and risk factors for sub-optimal results using the Ponseti Method in Haiti.
Methods: We conducted a records review of patients presenting from 2011-2015 to a CURE Clubfoot clinic in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Background: Del Nido (DN) cardioplegia, a calcium-free, hyperkalemic solution containing lidocaine and magnesium has been developed to help reduce intracellular calcium influx and the resulting myocyte damage in the immediate postischemic period following cardiac arrest. DN cardioplegia has been used for pediatric cardiac surgery but its use in complex reoperative surgery has not been studied. We specifically report the outcomes of patients undergoing reoperative cardiac surgery after previous coronary artery bypass grafting with a patent internal mammary artery (IMA).

Two hundred and eleven retired police officers participated in a survey exploring factors that contributed to the participation in bridge employment or employment upon retiring from primary careers in law enforcement. The results indicate that retired officers who held part-time positions while fully employed as police officers were more likely to participate in bridge employment when compared with individuals who did not hold additional part-time employment while fully employed as police officers.
