Treatment of vein graft aneurysms can be achieved by redo coronary reconstructions or by transcatheter techniques. Coronary interventions infrequently use large diameter devices, that is, ≥ 6 mm, and peripheral vascular interventionalists are well versed with this size technology. We report a multidisciplinary approach with technical tips for treating this uncommon pathology using 2 peripheral polytetrafluroethylene stents using a modified guide catheter.

Meloidogyne arenaria is an economically important parasite of many crops worldwide. Identification and detection of this species in soil samples is necessary for the design of crop rotation systems, selection of resistant cultivars, and potential use of biological control options. The objective of this study was to develop and validate a real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay, using species-specific primers and SYBR Green I Dye, for identification of M.

Sirolimus-eluting stents (SESs) reduce restenosis compared with bare metal stents. Safety issues with drug-eluting stents are particularly important given concerns of possible increased thrombogenicity. Compared with heparin plus glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors, the direct thrombin inhibitor bivalirudin has been shown to reduce the risk of hemorrhagic complications in patients receiving bare metal stents, with similar efficacy in preventing ischemic complications.
