Background: Both sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy and worsening of preexisting cardiac disease can contribute to circulatory shock in septic patients. The early use of pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) could play a pivotal role in the management of sepsis-associated cardiogenic shock.
