Context: Whole-gland ablation is a feasible and effective minimally invasive treatment for localized prostate cancer (PCa). Previous systematic reviews supported evidence for favorable functional outcomes, but oncological outcomes were inconclusive owing to limited follow-up.

Objective: To evaluate the real-world data on the mid- to long-term oncological and functional outcomes of whole-gland cryoablation and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in patients with clinically localized PCa, and to provide expert recommendations and commentary on these findings.

Objectives: To determine the diagnostic accuracy of 3T multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) for detecting and locating prostate cancer (PCa) on Dickinson's 27-sector map, using histopathology specimens from radical prostatectomy (RP) as the reference standard.

Patients And Methods: The authors studied a continuous series of 140 patients who underwent RP over three consecutive years. Prior to RP, all patients had mpMRI for detection and localization of PCa and further assessment by biopsy.

Background And Objectives: Focal high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is an emerging treatment for selected men with localized prostate cancer. A limitation of HIFU is the absence of a reliable tool to measure treatment effect intraoperatively. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) has been shown to be a promising modality for assessing the extent and boundaries of tissue ablation.
