Fatigue behavior of standardized 4340 steel samples uniformly coated with WIP-C1 (Ni/CrC) by cold spray was investigated. In particular, when a crack appeared at the interface between the base material and the coating, the cause of it as well as its shape and size were investigated. Fatigue loading was applied by alternating symmetrical cycles.

Fat quality can be assessed by measuring fat density on CT scan (greater density = smaller, higher quality adipocytes). We assessed the effects of tesamorelin, a growth hormone-releasing hormone analogue that reduces visceral fat (VAT) quantity in some people living with HIV (PWH), on fat density.

The objective of this study was to compare fat and muscle density among people with HIV (PWH) on stable raltegravir (RAL), atazanavir with ritonavir (ATV/r), or darunavir with ritonavir (DRV/r), and explore implications on muscle function.
Methods: Participants from the Modena HIV Metabolic Clinic taking RAL, ATV/r, or DRV/r with at least 1 computed tomography (CT) scan were included.
A case is presented of a male with drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) syndrome induced by carbamazepine intake. The patient presented all the elements of DRESS syndrome: Skin reaction, fever, enlargement of the lymph nodes, increased eosinophils and lymphocytes, with associated organ dysfunctions. The patient was admitted with acute laryngeal edema and imminence of respiratory insufficiency.
