[Gonococcal sensitivity to penicillin in women with gonorrhea relapse and reinfection].

Penicillin sensitivity of gonococci isolated from patients with relapses and reinfection of gonorrhea was studied. The results of the study were compared with those of the sensitivity tests in primary patients. [Sensitivity of gonnococci to penicillin in various forms of gonorrhea 1958-1974].

The dynamics of the changes in sensitivity of gonococci to penicillin within 1958-1974 was studied. It was shown that penicillin sensitivity of gonococci decreased. The sensitivty of gonococci was transferred on passages which explains predominant isolation of the resistant strains from males with fresh gonorrhea and from females with chronic gonorrhea and girls.

[Study of the effectiveness of ampicillin in the therapy of fresh gonorrhea in men and women].

The results of ampicillin use in therapy of 114 cases with fresh gonorrhea are presented. Males with acute and subacute urethritis and females with gonorrhea of the lower part of the genitourinary system were treated with ampicillin in the total dose of 2.5 gm according to the schedule: 1--0.
