Background/objectives: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder that presents significant challenges for care home residents and staff. This scoping review aimed to synthesize evidence on PD education and training available to care home staff, examine existing programs and their effectiveness, and identify gaps in current educational approaches.

The Cryogenic Underground Observatory for Rare Events (CUORE) is a detector array comprised by 988 5  cm×5  cm×5  cm TeO_{2} crystals held below 20 mK, primarily searching for neutrinoless double-beta decay in ^{130}Te. Unprecedented in size among cryogenic calorimetric experiments, CUORE provides a promising setting for the study of exotic throughgoing particles. Using the first tonne year of CUORE's exposure, we perform a search for hypothesized fractionally charged particles (FCPs), which are well-motivated by various standard model extensions and would have suppressed interactions with matter.

Background: Delirium is a complex neuropsychiatric syndrome characterised by an acute state of confusion, with a substantial impact on medical inpatients. Despite its growing recognition as a global healthcare concern, delirium remains underdiagnosed, partly due to a lack of awareness among healthcare professionals. Introduction: Violence against women (VAW) during the COVID-19 pandemic was described as the 'shadow pandemic' with an increase in reports of VAW. As countries now focus on becoming more resilient to future pandemics, it is critical to understand what we learnt about evidence on VAW burden, prevention, and response during the COVID-19 pandemic. The WHO commissioned this scoping review to gain an understanding of the research evidence on VAW during COVID-19 and to inform future pandemic preparedness efforts.

Comparative metabolic profiling and quantitative analysis of metabolites in different tissues of Ajuga turkestanica by ESI-UHPLC-QqTOF-MS and NMR.

Ajuga turkestanica preparations are used as anti-aging cosmeceuticals and for medicinal purposes. Herein we describe the characterization and quantification of its metabolites in different organs using UHPLC-MS and NMR spectroscopy. A total of 51 compounds belonging to various phytochemical classes (11 flavonoids, 10 ecdysteroids, 9 diterpenes, 6 fatty acids, 5 iridoids, 3 phenylpropanoids, 3 sugars, 2 phenolics, 1 coumarin, 1 triterpene) were annotated and tentatively identified by UHPLC-ESI-QqTOF-MS/MS of methanolic extracts obtained separately from the organs.

This article provides a step-by-step guideline for measuring and analyzing visual attention in 3D virtual reality (VR) environments based on eye-tracking data. We propose a solution to the challenges of obtaining relevant eye-tracking information in a dynamic 3D virtual environment and calculating interpretable indicators of learning and social behavior. With a method called "gaze-ray casting," we simulated 3D-gaze movements to obtain information about the gazed objects.

Telemedicine for Potential Application in Austere Military Environments: Neurosurgical Support for a Decompressive Craniectomy.

Introduction: The main goal of this study was to assess the feasibility of a head-mounted display (HMD) providing telemedicine neurosurgical support during a decompressive craniectomy by a military surgeon who is isolated from readily available neurosurgical care. The secondary aim was to assess the usability perceived by the military surgeon and to evaluate technical aspects of the head-mounted display.

Objective: We aim to assess the magnitude of cardiac contractile motion between different directions and locations in the heart.

Methods: Patients with intracardiac leads or valves who underwent 4-dimensional cardiac computed tomography (CT) prior to a catheter ablation procedure for atrial or ventricular arrhythmias at 2 medical centers were studied retrospectively.
