Background: It remains unclear what role depression screening plays in routine ambulatory orthopedic care. The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the floor and ceiling effects of the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System Depression (PROMIS-D) form, (2) the prevalence of positive PROMIS-D screening forms across an orthopedic service line, and (3) the prevalence of previously diagnosed depression and interventions among a representative sample of patients.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 58,227 patients who presented to ambulatory orthopedic clinics across an orthopedic service line between January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021.
Canadian neurology residency programs recently transitioned to Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME). Iterative evaluation is required to optimize CBME implementation. This study aimed to examine the variability and challenges in uptake of CBME in neurology residency programs and identify its benefits and pitfalls.

Objective: To investigate the effects of MRgFUS in patients with ET with an emphasis on ipsilateral-hand and axial tremor subscores.
Methods: Tremor scores and adverse effects of 100 patients treated between 2012 and 2018 were assessed at 1 week, 3, 12, and 24 months.
Background: Deep brain stimulation targeting the subcallosal cingulate gyrus (SCG DBS) improves the symptoms of treatment-resistant depression in some patients, but not in others. We hypothesized that there are pre-existing structural brain differences between responders and nonresponders to SCG DBS, detectable using structural MRI.
Methods: We studied preoperative, T1-weighted MRI scans of 27 patients treated with SCG DBS from 2003 to 2011.
Objective: Transcranial MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) is a minimally invasive treatment for movement disorders. Considerable interpatient variability in skull transmission efficiency exists with the current clinical devices, which is thought to be dependent on each patient's specific skull morphology. Lower skull density ratio (SDR) values are thought to impede acoustic energy transmission across the skull, attenuating or preventing the therapeutic benefits of MRgFUS.

Objective: The objective of the current study was to provide a comprehensive insight into the efficacy and safety profiles of neratinib-based therapies.
Methods: Comprehensive literature searches of the PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science electronic databases were performed for all relevant clinical trials.

Purpose: Gap junctions provide a conduit between the intracellular fluids of the pigmented (PE) and non-pigmented (NPE) ciliary epithelial cells, and are therefore critical in the secretion of the aqueous humor (AH). However, opinions differ concerning the connexin (Cx) composition of the gap junctions. Therefore, we aimed to characterize the expression of Cx in the porcine ciliary epithelium (CE), a favorable model for humans; and determine the contribution of the highest expressed Cx to AH secretion.

However, the prognostic values of NLR and PLR have never been tested in gallbladder carcinoma (GBC) with hepatic involvement.
Objective: The aim of the current study was to assess the prognostic significance of NLR, PLR, and other candidate biomarkers in GBC with liver involvement.
Purpose: Aqueous humor inflow falls 50% during sleeping hours without proportional fall in IOP, partly reflecting reduced outflow facility. The mechanisms underlying outflow facility cycling are unknown. One outflow facility regulator is matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) release from trabecular meshwork (TM) cells.
