The broad spectrum of clinical manifestations caused by peripheral arterial disease [PAD] and the morphologic heterogeneity of associated atherosclerotic lesions present a considerable management challenge. Endovascular interventions are recognized an effective treatment for PAD. Within this revascularization strategy the role of atherectomy debulking modalities continue to evolve.

Methods: All patients who underwent troponin testing at a single center were eligible for this study. Only patients with simultaneous samples with hs-cTnI (Siemens) and hs-cTnT (Roche) were included, regardless of chief complaint.
Phloretin is a key secondary metabolite produced by apple trees. Known for its strong antioxidant properties, this dihydrochalcone has been extensively studied in animals but less so in plants. Recently, we identified phloretin as a phytotoxic allelochemical that inhibits growth in the model plant Arabidopsis by disrupting auxin metabolism and distribution in the roots.

All the procedures were performed because of a history of recurrent thrombosis of the graft and significant stenotic kinking of the prosthesis during knee flexion. A Supera stent was implanted to prevent the next potential BKPB thrombosis.

In this paper we outline a plan for improving the colorectal cancer (CRC) screening system in Montenegro.
Methods: We formulated a roadmap, which was generally defined as a country-specific strategic plan to improve cancer screening programs.
Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has had an extensive impact on public health worldwide. However, in many countries burden of disease indicators for COVID-19 have not yet been calculated or used for monitoring. The present study protocol describes an approach developed in the project "The Burden of Disease due to COVID-19.

Endovascular methods have been evaluated to be safe and effective in limb salvage. The Supera is able to withstand increased compression, biomechanical stress and to have higher radial force.

The study aims to evaluate the outcomes of the CERAB technique for extensive aortoiliac occlusive disease (AIOD) using the BeGraft balloon-expandable covered stent (BECS).
Materials And Methods: This is a physician-initiated, multicenter, retrospective, observational study.
Many articles in the literature deal with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) biomineralization, but none pay attention to the isoenzyme composition of commercial HRP or the influence of the carbohydrate component of the protein molecule on the biomineralization process. To study the impact of these factors, we performed periodate oxidation of commercial HRP and a purified HRP-C isoform for biomineralization within ZIF-8. With purified HRP, enzyme@ZIF-8 biocomposites with higher activity were obtained, while periodate oxidation of the carbohydrate component of both commercial HRP and purified HRP-C yields biocomposites with very high activity in acetate buffer that does not degrade the ZIF-8 structure.

Our aim was to elucidate the physiological basis of the phytotoxic action of dihydrochalcone phloretin in the model plant Arabidopsis and to promote phloretin as a new prospective eco-friendly phytotoxic compound. Phloretin treatment induced a significant dose-dependent growth retardation and severe morphological abnormalities and agravitropic behavior in Arabidopsis seedlings.

It is necessary to activate patients' personal resources which comprise mental dispositions needed to effectively cope with the disease. The objective of the study was to evaluate the correlation between the attitude toward the vascular reconstruction and self-efficacy (SE), health locus of control (HLoC) and own life quality (QOL) assessment in patients with critical lower limb ischaemia.

The formation of nucleation centers and further biocomposite crystal growth is entirely governed by the pure electrostatic interactions between the protein's surface and the positively charged Zn(II) metal ions. It was previously shown that enhancing these electrostatic interactions by a chemical modification of surface amino acid residues can lead to a rapid biocomposite crystal formation.

Psychological research done so far among ICA stenosis patients focused on cognitive functioning changes. The objective was to assess attitude to surgery in relation to self-efficacy, life quality perception, and health locus of control in ICA stenosis patients.

Methods: Study group included 268 med students. Authors used the Alcohol Use Dependency Identification Test (AUDIT), Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS) as well as self-designed questionnaire to collect demographic data and examine motivation and usual situations related to alcohol consumption in students.
Allelopathic plants exploit their chemical 'weapons' to prevail over the competition, suppress neighboring plants and consequently use the available resources more efficiently. However, the investigation of plant allelopathic interactions in rhizosphere is difficult to perform because of its high complexity due to interactions of biotic and abiotic factors. Thus, autonomous, aseptic root cultures of apple (Malus × domestica Borkh.

Aim: To assess, in regard to MFS patients with aortic pathology and to abdominal aortic aneurysm patients: 1) whether or not self-efficacy (SE) and health locus of control (HLoC) affect the patients' satisfaction with life; 2) whether the two groups of patients differ in terms of mental dispositions.
Material And Methods: The study population consisted of 16 MFS patients with aortic pathology and 16 AAA patients, 9 men and 7 women in each group.
Introduction: Peripheral microembolism is one of the most frequent causes of acute limb ischemia. In order to effectively prevent relapses it is essential to localize and eliminate the source of embolism.
Aim: To evaluate the role of Duplex Doppler ultrasound examination in identifying the causes of blue toe syndrome (BTS).
Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is characterized by an "old" encapsulated collection of blood and blood breakdown products between the brain and its outermost covering (the dura). Recognized risk factors for development of CSDH are head injury, old age and using anticoagulation medication, but its underlying pathophysiological processes are still unclear. It is assumed that a complex local process of interrelated mechanisms including inflammation, neomembrane formation, angiogenesis and fibrinolysis could be related to its development and propagation.

Objective: We developed a CSDH grading system to predict RrR based on predictive characteristics that can be objectively assessed at the time of first presentation and initial surgery.
Methods: Prospectively collected data from 107 consecutive surgical patients with CSDH were reviewed.
Background: Seizure outcome following surgery in pharmacoresistant temporal lobe epilepsy patients with normal magnetic resonance imaging and normal or non-specific histopathology is not sufficiently presented in the literature.
Methods: In a retrospective design, we reviewed data of 263 patients who had undergone temporal lobe epilepsy surgery and identified 26 (9.9%) who met the inclusion criteria.
