Objective: To assess the efficacy of upper airway surgical intervention in patients with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Due to reports of sudden death in children undergoing treatment with growth hormone for PWS, detection of sleep-disordered breathing by polysomnography (PSG) has been recommended.

Background: The approved immunomodulatory agents for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) are only partially effective. It is thought that the combination of immunomodulatory and neuroprotective strategies is necessary to prevent or reverse disease progression. We conducted this chart review on newly diagnosed pediatric patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to compare the effect of treatment regimen on body mass index (BMI) and hemoglobin A1c over a 6-month period.
