Material And Method: We have been included in the study 105 women (age range 23-77 years, mean 53,77) diagnosed with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer and cervical cancer at the hospital admission, residency in the "Cuza Vodă" Iaşi Hospital--Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic (I, II, and IV Gynecologic Clinics) and "Elena Doamna" Iaşi Hospital--Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic (III Gynecologic Clinics) within 11 months.

Aim: To detect risk factors associated with osteoporosis, on two samples of patients investigated using ultrasonic osteo-densitometry method (UOD).

Unlabelled: This study aimed to prove that angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) could improve sinus rhythm maintenance after electrical or chemical conversion of atrial fibrillation (AF).

Methods: A prospective study of 36 patients with lone AF which undertook chemical or electrical conversion was conducted. Group 1 included 20 patients treated exclusively with a class I C antiarrhythmic (Propafenone, 450 mg daily) and group 2 included 16 patients treated with antiarrhythmic plus ACEI pre- and after cardioversion.
