- A total of 120 human premolar teeth were treated with citric acid to create eroded surfaces and then split into groups using either sodium fluoride or stannous fluoride dentifrices, alongside various mouthwashes.
- Results showed that while all treatments had some effect on preventing surface loss, stannous fluoride toothpaste was more effective overall, and the choice of mouthwash did not significantly alter the dentifrice's performance.
