Background: Use of postoperative radiation therapy (PORT) in locoregionally advanced medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) remains controversial. The objective was to evaluate the effect of PORT on locoregional control (LRC) and overall survival (OS).

Methods: Retrospective cohort study of 346 MTC patients separated into PORT and no-PORT cohorts.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify objective perioperative diagnostic factors for acute invasive fungal rhinosinusitis (AIFS) to create a diagnostic scoring system using objective criteria.

Methods: Retrospective case-control study performed at an academic, tertiary care center. Biopsy-proven cases of AIFS identified from pathology records (2015-2019) were compared to patients the otolaryngology service was consulted to "Rule out AIFS" in the year 2019, only including those with underlying hematologic malignancy.

Bronchogenic cyst of the posterior neck mimicking lymphatic malformation.

Bronchogenic cysts are embryologic malformations of the foregut and are rarely found head and neck region. Here we present a case of an upper scapular/lower posterior neck cystic mass which was initially suspicious for lymphatic malformation but confirmed by pathology to be an ectopic bronchogenic cyst.

Assessing patient-reported symptom burden of long-term head and neck cancer survivors at annual surveillance in survivorship clinic.

Background: This study reports long-term head and neck cancer (HNC) patient-reported symptoms using the MD Anderson Symptom Inventory Head and Neck Cancer Module (MDASI-HN) in a large cohort of HNC survivors.

Methods: MDASI-HN results were prospectively collected from an institutional survivorship database. Associations with clinicopathologic data were analyzed using χ , Mann-Whitney, and univariate regression.

Wide-field amacrine cell inputs to ON parasol ganglion cells in macaque retina.

Parasol cells are one of the major types of primate retinal ganglion cells. The goal of this study was to describe the synaptic inputs that shape the light responses of the ON type of parasol cells, which are excited by increments in light intensity. A connectome from central macaque retina was generated by serial blockface scanning electron microscopy.

Airway evaluation in children with single ventricle cardiac physiology.
