Porous organic polymers (POPs) constructed through covalent bonds have raised tremendous research interest because of their suitability to develop robust catalysts and their successful production with improved efficiency. In this work, we have designed and explored the properties and catalytic activity of a template-free-constructed, hydroxy (-OH) group-enriched porous organic polymer (Ph-POP) bearing functional Pd nanoparticles (Pd-NPs) by one-pot condensation of phloroglucinol (1,3,5-trihydroxybenzene) and terephthalaldehyde followed by solid-phase reduction with H. The encapsulated Pd-NPs rested within well-defined POP nanocages and remained undisturbed from aggregation and leaching.

Concentrations of trace metals such as iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), arsenic (As), vanadium (V), and selenium (Se) were determined in seawater and zooplankton from the surface waters off Rushikulya estuary, north-western Bay of Bengal. During the study period, the concentration of trace metals in seawater and zooplankton showed significant spatio-temporal variation. Cu and Co levels in seawater mostly remained non-detectable.

The present paper is an attempt to investigate the eye irritation potential of aqueous leaf extract of Achyranthes aspera by in vitro, Hen's Egg Chorioallantoic Membrane Test (HET-CAM) and in vivo acute eye irritation test in rabbits. The irritation score (IS) obtained after treatment of the extract on HET-CAM is 0.07 and that of in rabbits is 0.

Objective: To identify prevalence and factors associated with occurrence of focal clinical and electroencephalogram (EEG) abnormalities in patients with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME).

Materials And Methods: Clinical asymmetries in the seizures and focal EEG abnormalities were analyzed in 266 patients with JME.

Results: All the patients had myoclonic jerks (MJ) and generalized tonic-clonic seizures (GTCS); 56 (21%) had absence seizures.

Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of second lumbrical and interossei distal motor latency difference (2LIDMLD) in diagnosing CTS of different electro-physiological grades of CTS.

Methods: 2LIDMLD was standardized in 120 hands of healthy controls. Subjects with clinically diagnosed CTS and CTS with incidental polyneuropathy were prospectively evaluated with 2LIDMLD in addition to other standard diagnostic tests.
